Refund Policy
1. What you are paying for
SpellRoo (“SpellRoo”, “we”, “our service”) is a digital educational service. Any paid options — for example, avatar changes, cosmetic upgrades, or access to private multiplayer rooms — are digital features delivered instantly through the app. In-app rewards such as Nectar points and XP are not real currency and are not redeemable for cash.
2. When we offer refunds
- Non-delivery: you paid for a premium feature but it never unlocked due to a fault on our side.
- Duplicate charges: you were charged more than once for the same purchase.
- Technical failure: a bug in SpellRoo made the paid feature unusable and we couldn’t fix it in a reasonable time.
- Mistaken purchase: a purchase was made in error and the feature has not been meaningfully used yet — we consider these on a case-by-case basis.
Where we agree to a refund, we aim to process it within a reasonable period using the same payment method you used to pay.
3. When refunds may not be available
- You changed your mind after the feature has been substantially used or consumed.
- You lost access because your account was suspended or terminated for a breach of our Terms of Service.
- The purchase was made through a third-party app store, in which case the store’s own refund process applies (see below).
4. App-store versus direct purchases
SpellRoo may be distributed and sold through several channels:
- Mobile app stores (for example, Google Play or the Apple App Store): refunds for purchases made through an app store are generally handled by that store under its own refund rules. Please start there.
- Our website or a third-party payment processor: refunds for purchases made directly through our site or processor are handled by us in line with this Policy.
If you’re not sure which channel you used, contact us and we’ll help point you in the right direction.
5. How to request a refund
- Contact us via the support channel inside the app within a reasonable time of the purchase — typically within 30 days.
- Include the account email, the approximate purchase date, and a brief description of the issue.
- Have your proof of purchase (receipt, order ID, or app-store transaction ID) ready if we ask for it.
6. Local consumer law
Nothing in this Policy limits any non-excludable rights you may have under local consumer law in your jurisdiction, including any right to a remedy for services that are not fit for purpose. Please check your local rules if you are unsure of your entitlements.
7. Contact
Refund requests and questions can be sent to the support contact listed inside the app. See also our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
